At Custom Laser Engraving, how do we do what we do? We take the time to learn what our customers are looking for. We don’t simply take orders. What someone may think is the perfect gift may not be. We have the experience, knowledge, and a deep understanding of what makes the right gift.
We take the time to understand what you are trying to achieve by giving a personalized gift. Everyone has different needs and budgets, and we want to make sure whatever you choose fits into those silos. Once you’ve decided on the gift you would like to give or the gift you would like to give yourself, we work on the design. It can be as simple as a name, logo, or quote. Additionally, it can also be an image or an intricate design. No matter your design, you will receive a proof to approve before production begins. We are also 100% committed to client satisfaction. If it didn’t come out the way you wanted, we’ll work with you to make sure you are completely happy before you pay us a single penny.
Once we have the design, we transfer that into a program called Lightburn, which is essentially Photoshop for lasers. It controls the different settings needed for each surface. There are a lot of factors that go into laser engraving. It’s very detail-oriented, and if you don’t know what you are doing, you will either learn very quickly or ruin a lot, and I mean a lot of items. Here are a few of the settings that are necessary to ensure a perfect engrave.
- SPEED – How fast the laser head is moving
- MAX POWER – How powerful is the laser beam?
- MIN POWER – Reduction of power when the laser slows down.
- LPI – Lines Per Inch
- FOCUS – How far away the laser head is from the surface. Think of focus like a flashlight. The closer it is, the narrower the beam. The farther away, the wider the beam
We have two types of laser. A CO2 laser and a Fiber Laser (coming soon.) A CO2 laser can laser any “porous” material like wood, slate, granite, acrylic, leather, cardboard, etc. A fiber laser is best suited for metals. However, a CO2 laser can also do metals, but it does need to be coated with a special paint that helps the CO2 laser make a lasting design.
Almost every day, new items come on the market that would make the perfect gift. It’s our job and our mission to make sure that we make our clients look like superheroes.
We also enjoy hearing how well their clients appreciated our custom gifts. Without sounding too egotistical, our custom laser engraving services can help everyone become more successful by helping you show the people who matter most how much they mean to you.
